Member Events

Arizona Health-e Connection offers exclusive opportunities to its members, with some member events open to all interested stakeholders (with a special member rate offered for AzHeC members). Listed below is the 2010 Calendar of Events.

 

Member Webinars

Member Webinars are offered every other month on topics that are timely and of extreme interest to our members.  These may include providing our members access to existing national presentations or exclusive presentations that are customized to the AzHeC audience. Webinars are complimentary to AzHeC members and are $20 for non-members.
*Webinar presentations are available to AzHeC members and those who register for the event. If you are an AzHeC member and were unable to attend a Webinar, but would like a copy of the presentation, please email info@azhec.org.

 

Member Forums

Member Forums are offered every other month, include several components & are open to AzHeC members as well as any other healthcare stakeholder. Typically scheduled in the evenings, the Forums begin with a light dinner and networking opportunity. The program includes a brief update on AzHeC activities, followed by a feature presentation. These Forums offer AzHeC members and other interested stakeholders an opportunity to learn about a key health information technology and/or health information exchange topic of interest. Forums are $40 for members and $55 for non-members.

On this Webinar, Dr. Halamka will review the standards selected to support Meaningful Use Stage 1, providing an inside look as to how the country has developed these standards and the likely path ahead as we envision Meaningful Use Stage 2 and 3.

Webinar: Healthcare Transformation Institute

With initial funding from billionaire Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong and led by former Mayo Clinic CEO Dr. Denis Cortese, the aim of the new Healthcare Transformation Institute based in Arizona is to link the three separate worlds of scientific discovery, health care delivery and reimbursement. The Institute will have a state, multi-state and national focus on identifying, cultivating, demonstrating and deploying methods by which the quality of healthcare can continuously improve while simultaneously reducing associated cost. The ultimate goal of the Healthcare Transformation Institute is to deliver the best healthcare to all people at minimal expense and will include significant initiatives around health information technology to achieve this goal. Dr. Denis Cortese, former President & CEO of Mayo Clinic, and Dr. Lyle Bootman, Dean and Professor of the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy, will speak about the Institute's goals in healthcare and specifically HIT.

Forum: Healthcare Informatics & Meaningful Use

Please join AzHeC on June 23 from 5:30 to 7:30pm for an exciting in-person AzHeC Forum on healthcare informatics and its relationship to Meaningful Use. A panel of Arizona experts will discuss medical informatics and Meaningful Use from the clinical decision support, public health and consumer health perspectives:
